‘Collective City’ is Open House Melbourne’s 2023 theme. It asks how we will ‘reinvent, re-purpose and adapt our city to live better together’. Never have these questions been more critical.
The Future Homes project delivers competition-winning apartments at a gentle density. The designs promote sustainability, liveability, family-friendly features, and considerations for aging in place.
Our Open House event will include a guided tour through life-sized plans and display unseen competition entries. We will provide insight into the evolution of the designs, including the approach to landscape architecture, sustainability, accessibility, and other key features.
The event will showcase how low-scale apartments can provide better homes for residents, neighbours, and the environment.
Interactive presentations will take place at Big Plans, North Melbourne on Saturday the 29th of July.
