The 2018 MPavilion, designed by architect Carme Pinós of Estudio Carme Pinós, is now open. The pavilion is the fifth architecture commission initiated by the Naomi Milgrom Fondation, which creates a place in Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Gardens for people to meet, learn and engage with ideas and design. From 9 October 2018 to 3 February 2019, the pavilion will be the focus of cultural events, including talks, performances, workshops, installations and gatherings. The pavilion fosters conversations with the community about the role of design, architecture and culture in supporting liveable, creative and equitable places. At the end of each season, the pavilion is gifted to Victoria and relocated to a new permanent home.
